Divine Cuisines, a catering company for the NH Seacoast and Southern Maine area, has successfully served clients ranging from the Portsmouth Chamber of Congress, Prescott Park Board of Directors, performing artists at the Music Hall, Exeter Hospital retreat functions as well as for private parties.

We cater to businesses with sumptuous luncheons and dinners for meetings and retreats, formal and informal private parties, and festive events.

Rajesh Mandekar, Divine Cuisines’ head chef since August, 2002, earned his first culinary degree in Mumbai, India. His professional experience began in a five-star hotel restaurant in Mumbai; then as chef on the Princess Cruise line, chef in Bermuda, and in two Indian restaurants in Manhattan, NY. He came to New England to earn a second culinary degree at the Cordon Bleu affiliate, Atlantic Culinary Academy in Dover, NH. He specializes in Indian, French and Italian cuisines.

Janet Howe is the original owner/chef of Divine Cuisines and has operated a catering company for 10 years. Her cooking learning experience started with her Swedish grandmother and has continued through self-study, speciality cooking classes and hands-on experiences. She specializes in French country and Swedish cuisine as well as with American comfort food (if that is a cuisine).
